Oak Project
Luxury Small Home Renovation – Budds Beach
The Rio Vista Project is about more than modern architecture — it’s about reimagining family living. For Cindy and Russell, this was more than an upgrade; it was the opportunity to create a home that embodied their dream lifestyle — a space where family and business could seamlessly come together.
From the first conversation, the vision was clear: to modernise their existing home into a refined, functional space that celebrates both comfort and sophistication. Every detail was carefully considered, from the expansive master suite with its “mega” walk-in robe and, to the statement aluminium castellated façade and the clever kick-open laundry chute designed for everyday ease.
Throughout the build, collaboration was at the heart of every decision. Cindy and Russell were deeply involved in shaping the outcome, ensuring that the finished home reflects their family’s rhythm, priorities, and personality. The result is a modern, light-filled haven that balances architectural precision with warmth — a home built to be lived in, loved, and shared.

Award Worthy Oak Project
The Oak Project is an award-worthy example of how thoughtful design can make small-scale living feel expansive and effortless. Working closely with the owners, the brief was to make every square metre work harder — enhancing functionality, maximising natural light, and creating spaces that could flex between family life, work, and quiet retreat. The transformation included a reimagined kitchen designed for efficiency, a built-in TV nook to define living zones, extensive custom cabinetry for concealed storage, and new ducted air-conditioning for year-round comfort. Every material was chosen for its balance of beauty and practicality, ensuring the home feels refined yet comfortable.
What made this project truly special was the partnership. Each decision — from rethinking spatial flow to refining the smallest interior details — was made collaboratively, ensuring the finished apartment reflects how the family actually lives day to day. The result is a calm, sophisticated home that feels spacious despite its footprint, balancing clean lines, natural textures, and clever functionality to create a timeless, highly liveable space perfectly suited to modern family life.

Project Design
Before & After
From Closed-off to Connected
Before the Chester Project began, the home’s layout felt closed in and disconnected, limiting both functionality and lifestyle. Rooms were boxed off, circulation was awkward, and the connection between the indoors and outdoors was almost non-existent. To breathe new life into the property, the design was carefully reworked to open spaces, improve flow, and create a seamless link to outdoor living.
Throughout the transformation, every decision centred on enhancing openness and usability. Walls were removed to connect key living zones, natural light was maximised, and outdoor entertaining areas were integrated as an effortless extension of the interior. These thoughtful measures ensured the home’s new character isn’t just more functional, but truly reflective of modern coastal living.
