What happens if unexpected issues arise during the renovation? We do not allow for unforeseen structural, plumbing, or electrical issues within this package, as they are outside the scope of work. If any such problems arise, they will be assessed at the discretion of the lead builder and may require an inspection by a specialist designer or tradesperson, such as engineers, waterproofers, or pest inspectors. In some cases, these issues may impact the eligibility of your home for this package. No need to worry, though! Our custom build team has extensive experience in remedial work and complex renovations. If your home falls outside the scope of this package, we can provide alternative solutions to help bring your renovation vision to life, whether through our Small Home Renovations package or a fully custom renovation solution tailored to your needs.
-
Is the pricing fixed, or will there be variations?Pricing is fixed based on the inclusions of the package, meaning there are no hidden costs. If you choose upgrades, additional work, or unforeseen site variations arise, these will be discussed and quoted before proceeding.
-
How long does a Small Home Renovation typically take?Project timelines may vary depending on the scope, but most base level Home Makeovers take between 4-8 weeks from commencement. What is different between our Home Makeover Packages compared to our Custom renovation services? Our Home Makeover Packages provide a streamlined and cost-effective solution for interior updates. Unlike our Custom Renovation service, which allows complete flexibility in design, materials, and scope, this package is designed to deliver high-impact improvements with a faster turnaround and a fixed price. Key Differences: Home Makeover Packages vs. Custom Renovations Home Makeover Packages – A tailored yet efficient package that focuses on internal updates without structural changes. It’s a fast, cost-effective process with a flexible scope, an extensive range of selections, and fixed pricing. Custom Renovations – A fully bespoke service that allows complete flexibility in design, materials, and scope, cosmetic and structural. What’s Not Included in Small Home Renovations This package is designed for internal updates and does not cover: Structural Changes – Wall alterations, extensions, or plumbing layout reconfigurations/additions. Asbestos Removal & Mould Remediation – Must be addressed by specialists before renovation begins. Structural Damage – Repairs beyond cosmetic updates. Plaster Patching – Limited to re-plastered bathrooms; does not include repairs for pre-existing dents, plaster bubbles, or areas where electrical elements have been moved. Floor Levelling – Adjustments may be required if existing flooring is uneven. Smoke Detectors – Installation or compliance upgrades may be necessary for outdated smoke alarms. Ceiling or Wall Insulation – Not included in our scope of work. External Works – Landscaping, pools, driveways, pathways, roofing, and façade renovations are not covered. Optional Upgrades & Adjustments (Additional Cost) While our base package covers all the essentials for an interior refresh, we offer additional upgrades to enhance your renovation: Minor Electrical Adjustments – Relocating outlets and light fixtures within reason. Plumbing Modifications – Adjustments to accommodate new fixtures and layouts. Custom Cabinetry Alterations – Storage solutions and refinements within the existing footprint. Upgraded Fixtures, Fittings & Finishes – Premium selections for a high-end result. Take a look at our base scope in our package guide—note that this package can be fully customised to suit your home’s size, budget, and renovation requirements. If you’ve already completed certain updates, like flooring or bathroom renovations, we can tailor the scope to focus on what’s left to complete your vision.
-
Can I change the layout of my home with this package? This package does not include wall removals, extensions, or major structural reconfigurations. However, we can adjust cabinetry, fixtures, and fittings to enhance space efficiency and functionality within the existing layout. Need a Structural Reno? Contact us today to talk to our Custom Renovations team- We can adapt anything to suit your budget and project goals.
-
Can I make changes once the renovation has started? No, all selections must be finalised during the two-week planning period before work begins. Any changes after the final design meeting will impact the start of the job and may result in losing your scheduled spot in the production timeline. To ensure a smooth process, we encourage careful planning and final decision-making before construction starts.
-
Can I select my own finishes and materials?Yes! Our pre-selected finishes are chosen for durability, quality, and modern appeal, ensuring a streamlined process. If you'd like something different, premium upgrade options are available to further personalise your space.
-
What is the payment structure for the renovation? Our payment structure is staged to align with project milestones: Deposit: 5% to secure your renovation slot and initiate material orders Commencement Payment: 20% due at project start Progress Payment 1: 30% due at the first major milestone Progress Payment 2: 30% due at the second major milestone Final Payment: 15% due upon project completion, ensuring full satisfaction with the final result All payment terms will be detailed in your contract for transparency.
