Pride, Progress & Possibility with Seeka Constructions

On Saturday 11 October, the red carpet was rolled out at The Star Gold Coast for one of the building industry’s most glamorous events — the 2025 Master Builders Queensland Housing & Construction Awards.

The evening shimmered with elegance, celebrating the very best in Queensland’s construction and design. It was a night of pride, progress, and possibility — a recognition of craftsmanship, collaboration, and innovation from every corner of the state.

Among the inspiring finalists and visionary projects, one moment stood out for our team at Seeka Constructions — being announced as the Queensland Winner for the Home Renovation Project from $1 million up to $2 million for our Broadwater Project (Gold Coast).

We are deeply honoured to have our work recognised at this level, standing alongside some of the state’s most exceptional builders and designers. To now be named a National Finalist, with the National Awards to be held in South Australia later this year, is both humbling and exhilarating.

A Celebration of Heritage & Modern Design

Our Broadwater Project is a true showcase of what happens when heritage and modern design meet with respect, creativity, and precision.

The project began with the relocation of a classic Queenslander — carefully transported from Ipswich in two halves — before being lovingly restored and reimagined in Runaway Bay. From the outset, our shared goal with the clients was to honour the character and soul of this iconic home, while introducing a bold, modern extension that celebrated coastal living at its finest.

Every decision reflected honesty, collaboration, and craftsmanship — from restoring original stained-glass windows and replicating traditional wallboards to designing a striking new rear pavilion complete with a spa, bar, and fire pit. The result is a seamless blend of past and present, warmth and sophistication — a home that feels timeless yet contemporary.

A Special Thanks to Trudy & Rod

At the heart of this project are two remarkable people — Trudy and Rod.

From the very beginning, they approached their build with openness, collaboration, and genuine enthusiasm. They infused every stage of the journey with positivity, energy, and thoughtfulness, always working side by side with our team to ensure the vision remained true to who they are.

Their trust, creativity, and commitment made this project what it is today. This award is not only a recognition of Seeka Constructions’ craftsmanship, but a celebration of Trudy and Rod’s vision — to restore, protect, and reinvent a piece of Queensland heritage with heart and integrity.
